Meet Kerik Our Bass Instructor!

​

Kerik is an experienced musician and educator who has performed as a bassist in a variety of musical settings, including his service with the United States Army Band. With a background in multiple instruments and years of teaching experience, he brings a versatile approach to bass education, helping students explore different musical styles, techniques, and approaches to playing.

Kerik believes that a strong foundation in bass technique, rhythm, fretboard knowledge, and music theory is essential to becoming a well-rounded bassist. His teaching focuses on helping students understand not just how to play their favorite bass lines, but how the bass functions within music. By combining proper technique, musical creativity, and personalized instruction, he helps students develop confidence, independence, and the skills to perform across a variety of musical styles.
